Obituary

Willie James Brooks Jr was born on November 19, 1957, in Myatt Missouri to the late Ms Gleria Belter and Willie James Brooks Sr. Willie James Brooks Jr was the second-born child of two. Willie departed to his eternal resting place on June 24.3023 at 6:00 AM in the presence of his family.

After unseen circumstances, Willie and his sister Frannetta moved to the Quincy neighborhood of Cleveland. Wille received his education within the Cleveland Public School System for a short time and also attended John P Kennedy High School.

Later in life, he obtained his GED and would go on to accomplish an associate degree in Art and Social Work from the University of Shawnee State with his siblings he grew Teresa Smith, Vanessa Smith Frannetta.

During the time he was away from his family, Willie accepted Allah in 1917. No matter what situation Willie encountered he was able to adapt quickly earning him the nickname Flash. Flash was known for his loving personality. If Willie knew you and liked you, he considered you family.

Willie loved writing books, playing cards, listening to music, gambling, cooking, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Willie loved being a pa-pa and regularly visited with relatives and friends. Willie understood the value of family and tried to stay connected to them close and far. One of his all-time favorite cousins was Otis: they did everything together including towing cars, selling clothes or any type of business or hustle. Willie and Otis had plans since their youth.  Some they accomplished and some left undone. Willie had a calm presence during chaos and knew how to mediate any situation. He loved telling jokes and was the life of the party.

If I could, I would let you know that my season has changed and that my work here was done. I have fought a good fight. Unbeknownst to me but all-knowing to God he whispered the ultimate secret. He whispered in my ear and said it's time". It's time for you to be reunited with those that have gone before you. It's time for you to suffer no more. I was told about my new assignment where I can laugh, play cards, and dance. A place where I will know peace. Since the secret is out of the box please remember me and know that I live on through you all. Tell all my Grandchildren the jokes that made you all laugh. Please know my dear children that there is no pain nor worries bere, but until we meet again please comfort each other during this time.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory: His Children and grandchildren Shirelle Evans (Micheal Evans), Willie James Cason (Syketta Cason) Deviance Makiyah, Kahlel, Xylan. Tiffany Jeeneen Smith(Shawn Smith), Chloe Smith, Chauncier Smith, Cre'shawn Smith, Antonio Cason Sr(Kumore, Jaylin, Antonio Cason Jr, Jashawn, Ayana). One sibling Vanessa Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
