Thomas Haynesworth

Thomas Haynesworth was born to the parentage of the late Robert and Christine Haynesworth on February 23, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio. Thomas was the sixth child of eight siblings. Thomas attended Cleveland Public Schools, where he loved playing basketball. After attending East Tech High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years, receiving an honorable discharge. After being discharged, Thomas took on the job of decorating the interiors and exteriors of houses. 

Thomas confessed Christ and attended Liver Poole Baptist Church. Thomas met and fell in love with Delores Barfield. To this union, a son named Thomas Barfield was born. 

Thomas departed this life on Wednesday. September 24, 2025. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Christine; his brothers, Robert and Lawrence; and his sisters. Louise, Dorothy, and Goldester. 

Thomas leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Thomas Barfield (Tiffany); grandson, Miles Barfield; sister, Deloris Donald; and nephews Fred (Ella), Thomas (Jeanette), and Reginald Donald. One niece, Linda Coleman (Monroe), and a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, and friends. 

A special thank you to his niece, Linda, and great-nieces, Brittany and Tierra, for the extra special care of their uncle.

A Public Viewing will be held on October 10, 2025, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street, Cleveland, OH.  The Celebration of Life Service will also be at the House Of Peace Funeral Home on October 11, 2025, with a 10:00 AM Wake and 10:30 AM Service.
