Theotis Smith

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Theotis. Theotis C. Smith was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 31, 1957 to Theodore and Evelyn Smith. He was the eldest of three boys. His father preceded him in death. 

Theotis was educated in the Cleveland Public School System and graduated from John Adams High School in 1977. His first job was delivering newspapers and was known in the neighborhood as "the paperboy". He later worked at May Company, Ford Motor Company, and The Sheraton Hotel at Hopkins International Airport, where he retired due to disability. 

Theotis loved socializing with family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan and knew all the teams, but he especially loved all the Cleveland sports teams. He had a vast knowledge of historic facts and sports history and stayed up to date on current events. 

Theotis transitioned this life on February 8, 2022. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother. Evelyn Smith; two brothers: Victor Smith (Anita) and Vance Smith: three nephews: Victor Smith, Jr. (Kellee), Emmanuel Smith and Elijah Smith; three nieces: Alycia Smith (Talareus), Karmin Smith and Alyzah Smith and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. 

A public viewing will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022, 11:00 AM Wake and 11:30 AM Service at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street (East 71st and Harvard), Cleveland, OH. Interment will immediately follow at the Cleveland Memorial Gardens, 4324 Green Rd, Cleveland, OH.

Face Mask will be required for both Viewing and Funeral services.
