HIS LIFE AND LEGACY
Richard Hason Sims
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Hason Sims, a devoted fiancée, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and respected plumber. Richard's final Sunset was on November 8, 2025, at the age of 64 years. He was born April 22, 1961, in Philadelphia to John Sims and Rose Marie Felder (Eva Sims), who preceded him in death. They instilled in him values of family, unconditional love, compassion, and hard work, spanning into his life's career.
Richard touched the lives of many with his vibrant spirit, creative talents, and unconditional love for his family. Richard was not only known for his humorous spirit, but for his dedication to helping others, mentoring young apprentices, or answering late-night calls from a neighbor in need hep "Ooh, let's not forget his crazy Lingo, his exceptional craftsmanship and skills, whether he approached every task with pride and a steady hand, always ready in times of need no matter what ever it was if he could help he would.
Beyond his trade, Richard was a man of integrity and kindness who found joy in his family, his work, and the satisfaction of a job well done; His legacy lives on through the many homes, buildings, and lives he touched; he will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Richard was a devoted father to his two 2 daughters, Shareta, his eldest, and Valencia, his youngest. He always supported his daughters, no matter what. Beyond his role as a father, thou Richard had professional talents and a passion for many things. In addition to earning his college degree, he had his own hardware store, which he established in 2018. Richard had a gift for bringing people together and creating memorable experiences. He loved to sing and dance; you couldn't tell him he wasn't the coldest dancer.
Richard also cherished spending time with all five (5) of his grandchildren and fiancée Jackie, who was always attentive and supportive of his decisions he made, and let us not forget, his Godmother Catherine Henderson, who was there to lend a hand and ear without hesitation.
Everyone knows his family meant a tremendous amount to him. Richard led and cared for deeply for those near to him.
Richard leaves behind a legacy of love and connection, and will be deeply missed by h fiancée Jackie, children Shareta and Valencia, grandchildren Tai'Veon, Cy'lyn, Da'Sharie, Harmony and Harley his siblings Rosetta, John, Anthony, Leeanna, Edward, Timothy, Dora (Earl) and Ava and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a host of others who loved him.
And with that being said, I want ya'll to keep that under yah hat then you'll be cooking wit grease cause that ain't no stage joke, righteous, and if you knew HASON you know what that mean! Peace in it Two fingers.
The Celebration of Life Service will be at the House Of Peace Funeral Home on December 1, 2025, with a 10:00 AM Wake and 10:30 AM Service. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 5505 Northfield Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146.
