Regina's Story

A Time to Be Born...

Regina Michelle Young was born May 6, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of Revier L. Young & Mollie (Pompey) Young. She was the second eldest of four children. Her father Revier Young, brother Richard Young, and granddaughter Rose Young preceded her in death.

A Time to Serve...

Regina accepted Christ at an early age. She attended school in the Cleveland Public School System and graduated from South High School in 1977, with a major in Business Administration. She proudly joined the United States Army in 1979. After being honorably discharged she attended Cosmetology School. She was previously married to Dextor Fellows. She was the proud mother of two children, her son Rahkee and her daughter Renia were her entire world. Her children gave her strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all the time. When her grandchildren were born, they brought new meaning to her life. Her love for them all was unconditional.

Regina was a Peer Counselor and had a special love for fellow Veterans.

A Time for Family...

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Regina received her wings. Regina never met a stranger and to know her was to love her. Her infectious smile had a way of warming peoples' hearts. Regina had an eye for beauty and fashion. Anyone who knew her knew that she always dressed to impress. She was beautiful inside and out. She enjoyed quality time with her family the most. She loved music, singing, dancing, playing games, card, and taking pictures. Regina had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her words of encouragement and special quotes will never be forgotten. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

A Time to Rest...

Regina leaves to cherish her memories; her son: Rahkee Young; her daughter: Renia Fellows; three granddaughters: La'Nia, Angel, A'Niylah; three grandsons: Ron-Dae, Zah-Mir, Rah-Mere; mother: Mollie Young; a sister: Cheryl Young; a brother: Darryl (Rotishia) Young; her childhood friend and Army Buddy LeKetta Lester; her special friend Richard Frazier; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
