Mother Katie Belle Obituary

Katie May Belle was born February 10, 1946, in Fausdale, Alabama to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Belle. She was baptized at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

Katie moved to Cleveland in the early mid-sixties to build her own legacy. She worked at - Mr. Coffee and Crown Cork & Seal Company until she retired. Shortly after retirement, she decided to do private duty care.

Katie was a woman of strength and she demonstrated that by raising her 5 children and also most of her grandchildren.

She was a member of Second New Hope Baptist Church where she served in the choir. Katie knew the Lord as her personal Savior. She attended church regularly and also took her children. She read the Bible daily and would write scriptures and post them around the house.

Katie enjoyed bowling; she traveled around competing in bowling tournaments. She also loved cooking for her family and was good at it. She was known for her famous Mac n Cheese. She cooked Sunday dinner faithfully until her health no longer allowed her to.

Katie was a fighter; she battled cancer for many years but she never lost her faith in God. She departed this life for her heavenly home on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 8:38 AM surrounded by family.

The Life of Katie will not die but live on in the memory her four children: Anette Belle, Janette Belle, Peter Belle and Dwyane Belle; one daughter in love: Jackecia; one brother: Rufus Bell; eight sisters: Inell George, Helen Bell, Susan Bell, Christine Davis (David), Henrietta Bell, Betty Davis, Barbra Williams, and Ruth Davis; nineteen grandchildren two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
