Michelle Wall

My Journey

Michelle Denise Wall was born December 22, 1979, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Richard Higgins (preceded in death) and Elizabeth Wall.

Michelle accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She attended New Life Cathedral Church under the pastorate of Pastors Shawn and Stacy Braxton, where she served faithfully every Sunday with her second family since 2018.

Michelle attended Cleveland Public Schools and later received her GED. She went on to attend The Cut Beauty School and graduated with her cosmetology license. She worked at Wendy's on 55th and St. Clair for 18 years. Michelle worked for five years at the Federal Building, cleaning for the ABM Company.

Michelle was an entrepreneur. She began doing hair as a teenager and grew to be an awesome hairstylist with many clients. She was very creative and enjoyed decorating, designing, and baking cakes. She provided those services to many for their special occasions.

Michelle's big heart and love for children and helping others led her to become a foster parent. She was affectionately called "Shelly Sauce" by some, loved children, and was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She loved her sons and would do any and everything for them. She especially loved her role as "GG" to her grandchildren.

Michelle made friends everywhere she went, and was quick to buy or give anyone the shirt off of her back. Many who knew her would say she was an angel on earth.

Michelle departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Michelle's legacy will forever be imprinted on the hearts and minds of those she touched. Her unending kindness and love for others will be remembered and cherished. As we honor Michelle's life, we carry forward her spirit, love for giving, and belief in the power of kindness.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother: Elizabeth Wall: three sons: Michael Barnes, Myquan Barnes, and TaeVon Walker; three grandchildren: Amiri Barnes, Michael Barnes, and Miyanni Barnes; three nieces: Doneisha Wall, Dontasia Wall, and Eljabria Dunn; two nephews: Dontae Wall Jr. and Davontae Auston; one great niece: Elaani Miller: one aunt: Constance Wall; one uncle: Kendall Dixon; two God-daughters: Amonee and Morgan Brantley: and a host of cousins and friends.

Michelle was preceded in death by her brothers Donte and Darnell Wall.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on April 6, 2024, at the New Life Cathedral, 16200 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, OH.
