Mary Ann Lewis

On October 14, 1959, in Jefferson County, Birmingham, Alabama, God allowed such a beautiful gift to enter into the lives of the late Mary and Elmer Lewis Sr., siblings Jerry Lewis and Elmer Lewis Jr. On March 5, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio, God in his infinite wisdom and abundance of mercy and love, reclaimed his very own back to Him. 

Mary was a woman full of life and most certainly a Child of GOD. she was a faithful member of True Holiness Temple under the leadership of Bishop Anthony Dixon. If you ever had the pleasure of conversing with her, her sense of humor and charisma would leave you with a smile on your face, and if you were having a rough day you would soon forget all about it. Mary's children and grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them. She was very giving and a powerful praying warrior and prayed for all those who would make a request, she would also give you her last dime if she had it. 

Mary had a passion for cooking, fashion, hair, and make-up. There wasn't anyone who didn't enjoy "Momma Ann's" food. She also enjoyed singing, not only to her children, worshipping God, but she would also sing two of her favorite songs, both titled, "Angel" (by Anita Baker & by Angela Winbush) to patients in the nursing home where she once worked. She was a shining light to all those she encountered and definitely left a huge mark on this earth. 

She leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Erica Lewis, Amiya Lewis, and Mikia Gibran; sons Larry Caton Jr and Cortez Littlejohn; brothers Elmer Lewis Jr and Jerry Lewis; aunts Eva Boggan and Virginia Phillips; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, relatives, dear friends, and True Holiness Temple íamily. Mary was preceded in death by her son Reginald Lewis

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, 10:30 AM Wake and 11:00 AM Service at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street (East 71st and Harvard), Cleveland, OH. 

Face Mask will be required for both Viewing and Funeral services.
