Marion “Honeybabe” Leak passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Menorah Park, Beachwood, Ohio. A native Clevelander, born August 27, 1935 to Robert J. and Vivian C. Higgins (deceased). She was educated by the Cleveland Public School and graduated from Jane Adams Vocational School in 1953 as a License Practical Nurse (LPN). Marion married Isaiah A. Leak, in December of 1968 who preceded her in death in 1995.
After graduation, Marion devoted her life caring for others in some of Cleveland’s leading hospitals, the office of Drs. Ford, Lewis and Turner, the first minority medical practice in Cleveland, Ohio and retired from St. Vincent Charity Hospital in 1984.
Marion, the third of six girls, is survived by her loving sisters; Charlene White, Juanita Linston (deceased), (Richard), Geneva Terry (deceased), Alicia Tate (deceased) and Marva Sudberry (all residents of Cleveland and neighboring suburbs); the loving mother of Tara F. Preston-McAdory of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Isaiah A. Leak Jr. of Shaker Heights, Ohio; grandchild, Ebonee M. McAdory-Kelly (Frank); great grandchild, Jourdan D. Kelly (residents of Rancho Cucamonga, California); her many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; as well as a multitude of relatives and cherished friendships. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
