Lashaun Renee Thompson - Beal

It is with great sadness that we announce Lashaun Renee Thompson's death - Beal who passed away on April 9, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. 

On September 19, 1964, a voice of a little girl was heard. Lashaun Renee Thompson was born; a gift like no other to Mae Etta Green and Jimmie Lee Thompson in Cleveland, Ohio. Both welcomed her into the world of the unknown, a home much different than the average; for her father saved the country as she would say – being raised in a military environment.

As the only child maternally, Lashaun loved the various groups and organizations in which she was involved in growing up for her mother was a Sunday School teacher, community organizer, caregiver, guild gurl counselor, and so much more. Lashaun herself was widely known in the community for her catering and bridal/event planning.

In 1997, she began to shape her own business “We’ve Only Just Begun”. She opened a small shop in Cleveland and loved every moment in her shop as she spent catering to her community, friends, and loved ones from church.

As a young girl, Lashaun would often attend church conventions with her mom and choir group: The Singing Angels. She loved to sing, she loved to laugh, and she loved being in the comfort of others. After high school, Lashaun began to explore her many talents and teach floral design at Shaw High School located in East Cleveland, Ohio after earning her certificate and becoming a local vendor. While she loved to explore and try new things, she sure did love all her adventures with her children and grandchildren.

Among her many talents, she always had the ability to keep people smiling by her memorable experiences and most of all her loving charm.

After unexpectedly experiencing a violent and heartbreaking passing on Friday, April 9, 2021, in Cleveland, Ohio Lashaun is proceeded in death by her moth Mae Etta Thompson, eldest brother Dana Thompson and father, Jimmie L. Thompson.
