Joe Young Obituary

We are saddened to announce the transition of Mr. Joe Willie Young.

Born on July 15, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to the union of Joe W. Young and Lucille Marshall, who proceeded him in death. Joe took his Shahadah at a young age. Joe was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he attended East Technical High school, during that time he met his high school sweet heart Josephine Askew. The 2 fell in love and grew to build their own family. With the responsibility of a young family, Joe began a career and worked for RTA for several years. A natural leader and visionary from his youth, Joe possessed an unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit.

At a young age, he developed his leadership skills and from that he started many businesses paving the way for a lifetime of creating opportunities for himself and his family with the goal of inspiring others to thrive independently. He loved being a "Family Man" and this shaped the way for them to successfully launch their own trucking company, in which they named "4 J's Services. The business has been a success for the past 24 years. Among his community, family, friends and the trucking industry, he was widely known, deeply loved, and fiercely respected for his work ethic and straight forward but, loving character.

He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life his loving wife Josephine and his children: son Joe W. S. Young ("D.J. Joe Boom") proceeded him in death, Menia, Takisha, Malikah (Anjoe), Ronetta & Tony.
