We are saddened to announce the transition of Ms.Irene McGlothan.
Sister Irene Fuller was born on December 6, 1938, to the late William Fuller and Nonie Fuller (nee Rogers) in Cleveland, Ohio. Irene was educated in the Cleveland Municipal School District and graduated from Glenville High School in 1957. Irene accepted Christ at an early age, and on April 27, 1947, she joined. Mt. Hermon Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. R. L. Fuller. She sang in the Junior Choir, Mass Choir (formerly known as the Sanctuary Choir), and served on the Junior Usher Board.
In 1959, Irene met and married Ulesses McGlothan. To this union, one daughter was born, named Kimberly Evette. Irene was not shy in the workplace as she was employed by Mt. Hermon Church Secretary, and her personal catering service, where she catered at several country clubs. Irene was employed by Henkel-Loctite Corporation, and after 40 years of service as a machine operator, she retired and continued to work as a caterer and a home health assistant. Irene joined the Eastern Star and was treasurer for over thirty years in the Lincoln Chapter. For her continuing service, she was recognized with a letter of commendation for her dedication. She was a former member of the Heroines of Jericho, Amaranth, Crusaders, and Daughters.
Irene's fashion statements were bling. Bling, and more BLING! Whatever her next event was, she rose to the occasion and did it well. Her trademark smile and warm personality, with her love, left an indelible impression on our hearts, never to be forgotten. She will be sorely missed. Irene exchanged life for eternity on September 15:2025. Awaiting her arrival at the Pearly Gates will be her parents, William and Nonie Fuller, daughter, Kimberly Evette, brother, William Jr., sisters, Mildred Thomas, Odessa Barting, and Evelyn Bryant; niece, Stephanie J. Huff, and Tonya Sandford.
Irene leaves to cherish her memory her cherished devoted sister Barbara Fuller; stepson, Ulesses McGlothan; nephews, William A. Bryant, Anthony Merritt Sr., Todd Mitchell; grand-nephews, Anthony Merritt Jr. and Antrell Merritt; cousins, Abdullah Muhammad Bey, Justin Fuller, Wendell A. Fuller (Dr. Lorna), treasured friend she considered a niece. Sherry Stovall, and a host of adopted nieces and nephews, and scores of extended family and friends.
A public viewing will be held on September 25, 2025, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street, Cleveland, OH. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 26, 2025, at 10:00AM Wake and 10:30AM Service at Mt Hermon Baptist Church, 2516 E 40th St, Cleveland, OH.
