Frances Porter

Frances L. Porter was born on July 29, 1932, in Lancaster, South Carolina, She later. relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where she established a life grounded in faith, service, and devotion to her family. Frances completed her high school education and worked diligently. in domestic services, carrying herself with quiet strength, humility, and unwavering grace. 

A woman of deep spiritual conviction, Frances was à faithful and dedicated member of St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church. She especially cherished Sunday School, where she found joy, fellowship, and spiritual nourishment. Her steadfast commitment to her church community was evident in the way she lived and served.

Frances was preceded in death by Benjamin Hilton, Pearlie Lowery, and her beloved husband, Hallie Porter. She was, also preceded in death by her children, Johnathan Crockett and, Dionna Crockett. She was further preceded in death by several of her siblings: Leroy Porter, Joe Lewis Porter, Susie Meyer, and' Willie Ray Porter.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Lisa Brown, Elvis Curtis Brown, Marceline Porter, Tracy Porter, and Terrie Porter. Frances leaves to honor her memory her surviving siblings: Peggy Jean Wade-Martin and Rebecca Johnson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ashley Crockett, Antonio Brown, L'Darryl. Ellis, Byanca Porter, Sherri Snowden, Marquise Porter, Marilyn Jones, and Ja'Neal Porter. She was further blessed with great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life: 

L'Darryl Eliis Jr., Za'Toriia Walters, Damarion Ellis, Chaise Walters, Zion Walters, and Camdyn Snowden. Frances. also leaves to cherish her memory her adopted daughter, MaryAnn Carstarphen, special friend, William Hughes who held a special and enduring place in her heart. 

In addition, she is lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends, each of whom was touched by her kindness, wisdom, and steadfast love. 

Frances, L. Porter lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit, her teachings, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A Public Viewing will be held on April 03, 2026, from 3:30PM to 5:30PM at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street, Cleveland, OH. The Celebration of Life Service will be on April 06, 2026, with a 9:00 AM Wake and 9:30 AM Service at St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church, 7101 Carnegie Ave, Cleveland, OH.
