Elaine E Malone

We are saddened to announce the transition of Ms Elaine E. Malone. 

On September 14, 1950, Melvin Fletcher and Iona Allen welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Elaine E. Allen Malone, into the world.

Elaine was born in Athens, Alabama, as the only daughter and eldest of four children. She attended public schools in Athens and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a proud member of the Poplar Creek Church. At the age of 14, Elaine moved to Washington, Pennsylvania, but later returned to her hometown of Athens, Alabama. In later years, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where she remained until her health began to decline.

Elaine’s loving memory will forever be cherished by her devoted husband, John A. Norman; her six children: Marvin (Belinda) Hines of Birmingham, AL; Janice (Shannon) Orr, Tracy Hines, and Kenneth Hamilton, all of Athens, AL; Joseph (Yvette) Hine of East Limestone and Teaneeka (Marvin) Bruce of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, her three brothers— Larry Hines, Jerry Hines, and Paul (Dena) Hines of Washington, PA—and a host of other relatives and close friends.

Special mention is made of her sister-in-law, Velina Norman, who held a special place in her heart.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Wayne Hamilton, her second husband Bobby Malone, and her infant daughter Stephanie Malone.

The Celebration of Life service will be January 11, 2025 at 2:00PM at the House of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street, Cleveland OH. Eulogist, Sedric D. Veal, Sr.
