Edward Davenport Jr. was born January 02, 1956, in Athens, Georgia to Edward Davenport Sr. (deceased) and Estella Davenport Williams. Edward was the second of four children. The family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1960.
Edward accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Beulah Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. Theodore Longmire. Edward was a member of the Sunday School and Youth Choir.
Edward attended the Cleveland Public Schools, was employed by the United Parcel Service, and held various jobs until his health began to fail.
Edward received his eternal summons on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Edward enjoyed listening to music, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Edward leaves to cherish his loving memory, a loving and devoted mother Estella Williams, two sisters - Ada (Pastor Donald) Harrison, Franklinton, N.C., Ethel Davenport, Banning, CA., six nieces - Teresa, Natalie (Lamar), Tina, Ebony, Anastasia, Tesia, two nephews - David (Tamara), Marchello, great-nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held on April 30, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the House of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street, Cleveland, OH, 44105. The Celebration of Life will be on May 1, 2024, 11:00 AM Wake and 11:30 AM Service at the First Beulah Baptist Church, 5706 Woodland Ave, Cleveland, OH 44104.
