My Life and Legacy
Mr. Eddie L. White Sr. was born to the late Ruby and Roosevelt White, on October 14, 1950, in Tunica, Mississippi. He was the eldest of two sisters: Barbara, and Jacqueline White. All who preceded him in death.
Eddie accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from J. F. Kennedy High School in the class of 1969. He furthered his education with some college, then went on to study to become a licensed electrician/contractor. Eddie retired from L.T.V. /Mital Steel as an electrician in 2018. Later on, after his retirement he decided to temporarily work at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Med Port.
Eddie loved sports. He played softball and bowled on leagues (he had a pretty nice average too). Fishing was one of his passions. His most compassionate place was with family and friends. He loved to grill with his family while enjoying a Bud Light, talking junk, and listening to music. He also took much pride in attending and participating in family reunions
Eddie has read the bible from cover to cover three times. The first time he read it, the second time he studied it, and the third time to get an understanding. What a champ that attempts to pursue such a challenge. In 2000, Eddie rededicated his life to Christ at the Temple Baptist Church. He served as an usher and was on the courtesy guild.
Eddie's own personal ministry was to call and check on others. He was always concerned about how they were doing. He never deviated from his compassionate concern for others, even as his health started to decline.
Eddie remained true to his character at all times, always had a joke and was playful. "The Jokester". After checking in once he knew you were in good spirits here comes the smack talk.
In the later season of his life he always did what he could to help his wife and family. The past three years Eddie was blessed to have and find comfort with his grand doggy named "Baby". They developed an immeasurable bond with each other.
Eddie leaves to cherish his loving memories to his wife: Darlene; one daughter: Terrell; four sons: Ryan (Kristine), Elliot (Ebony), Eddie II, and Mitchell; and ten grandchildren: Myles, Jaylin, Kaylin, Mikaya, Anyiah, Mikenzi, Zhanna, Ryann, Rayna, and Brandon; one sister: Misty; one sister-in-law: Frankie; seven nieces: Stephanie, Tracey, Georgia, Nicole, Shan'te, Natasha and Rynisha; four nephews: Steve Jr., Dwayne Jr., Jerome Jr, and Uris; thirteen great nieces and nephews; one special great niece: Logan (Uncle Bob) and a host of other relatives and friends.
Eddie and Darlene loved to travel together. They took road trips, and plane trips, and even traveled out of the country.
Eddie's journey has come to a close. He will always be loved and sorely missed as he has left an impact on all those who knew and loved him.
