Dwight Wayne Lyons was born April 29, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Melvin Clark and Mattie Lee Jamison-Lyons. He was the oldest of two children.
"Silk," as he was nicknamed, attended Bolton Elementary, Rawlings Jr. High School and East Technical High School in the Cleveland Public School System.
Dwight (Silk) life work was construction, but his lifelong passions were car mechanics, especially old school cars and motorcycles. Silk loved and adored his family and friends, especially his one and only daughter Kiara and his loving sister Mozella.
Dwight was a member of Temple Baptist Church which he joined in 2012 and served faithfully on the Usher Board and The Faithful Few, a community ministry. He was a dedicated servant of the Lord until illness interrupted his service to his church and daily life.
Lord saw fit to call Dwight home to be with him on Monday, June 26th, 2023, at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. His mother Mattie Lee Jamison-Lyons predeceased him.
He leaves to cherish his memory Partner-in-Life, Pamela D. Smith, his three sons, Dwayne C. McCully, Sr., Dwight C. Davenport, De'Shaun C. Davenport (Kawanga), daughter Kiara D. Smith. He also leaves his one and only beloved sister Mozella Lyons. Four Deon and Jasminee. grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, 27 grandchildren, 9 great and friends.
A public viewing will be held on July 5, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street, Cleveland, OH. The Celebration of Life Services will be held on July 6, 2023, 10:00 AM Wake and 10:30 AM Service at Temple Baptist Church, 1862 Noble Road, East Cleveland, OH.
