Donald Mosley Obituary

Donald Eugene Mosley was born on November 9, 1940, in Grant Town, West Virginia, the youngest child of Theodore and Jessie Mosley (both deceased). He attended and graduated from Fairmont High School and excelled in wrestling. After graduating he moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Donald accepted Christ at an early age and would attend New Light Baptist Church.

Donald led a life characterized by warmth, generosity, and a deep commitment to his family and community. He was a top Union Official with USW during his 34 years at J&L Steel, which later became LTV Steel. Following his retirement, Donald dedicated an additional 11 years to the State of Ohio at Warrensville Developmental Center.

In his free time, Donald enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved watching the Cleveland Browns, the Cleve- land Cavaliers, and the Cleveland Indians. When he wasn't watching sports, you could catch him watching a good western. Amongst his other hobbies, he loved fishing, and telling stories of family members getting seasick while fishing and who caught the biggest fish. Donald shared the love of fishing with his brothers, nephews, and friends. He also enjoyed listening to old R&B and occasional visits to the casino. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and share that joy with those around him.

On March 4, 2024, Donald departed this life surrounded by family. Donald is proceeded in death by his parents Theodore and Jessie Mosley, his four brothers Theodore, Leonard, Wayne and Richard, and his three sisters, Hazel Washington, Ethel Daniels and Bettye Hayes. Donald leaves to cherish in his memory his loving wife Selena of 47 years, children Donald Jr. Mosley (Keshona), Terrance Dawson (Errica), and Pamela Johnson (Bernard), Alice Jean Scott, Bernadette Mosley, eight sisters-in-law and two brother-in-law, and host of loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and many others who loved him.
