Dock Hull Obituary

We are saddened to announce the transition of Mr. Dock F. Hull.

Dock Franklin Hull was born December 24, 1933 in Philomath Georgia to the late Clemon and Matilda Hull. He was the oldest of eight children.

Dock confessed Jesus Christ at an early age. Dock was educated in Spring Hill School by his Aunt Mary.

Dock moved to Cleveland Ohio in 1957 and later met and married Dorothy Marshall the love of his life. He was a devoted and loving husband for 63 years and from this union a son was born Derrick Franklin Hull. Dock was employed by Foti Construction as a brick layer for fifty years and retired. Even after retiring he still did odd jobs for family members & friends building stairs and laying concert for businesses around the greater Cleveland area. He would always lend a hand whenever it was needed.

His hobbies outside of working was he enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife, grandchildren & great grandchildren. He would ride his two granddaughters around to places he helped built and was very proud of his work.

Dock joined Mt. Hermon Baptist Church on February 15, 1998 and was a faithful member until his health declined.

Dock was a peaceful man and was always ready to jump in to help anyone. He was a man to say very little but his heart made up for that with how he would help anyone. It was said that if Dock met you as a stranger and took you as friend then he would be your friend to the end.

On June 10, 2025 the Lord whispered gently his name and told him job well done my son, now it's time to come home and be with me. He was surrounded by his wife, son, grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Meeting him at the heavenly gates are his parents Clemon and Matilda Hull, siblings Josie, Margaret, Clemon and MIlton. Oh what a glorious reunion.

He leaves to cherish his sweet memories a loving and devoted wife Dorothy, one son Derrick, three sisters Doris, Pauline, Alice (KC), two granddaughters Kayla, Karmen, six great grandkids Jay'Den, Aniya, Jeremiah, Jayla, Reginald 3rd, Journey and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friend who are going to miss him dearly.

His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His unwavering faith and dedication to helping others were a testament to his belief in God's love and grace.
