Dennis Vinson Obituary

Dennis Glenn Vinson, the son of the late Earnest Vinson and Katherine Vinson-Powell, was born September 10, 1966, in Buffalo, New York, at Buffalo General Hospital. He graduated from Max Hayes High School. In 2008, he attended Kaplan Technical College, where he received his HVAC Certification.

Dennis accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Temple Baptist Church in Cleveland, OH.

For nearly thirty years, Dennis was a blue-collar worker in different manufacturing industries. In 2013, Dennis decided to start his own business DV Cleaning, gaining contracts with local small businesses around Cleveland. In 2021, Dennis began working at Lincoln Electric and was very excited about the opportunity.

Apart from his professional endeavors, Dennis was a member of the Golden Glove Association and the Cleveland City Boxing Gym. Boxing was not only his passion, but something he taught the youth in his spare time. Dennis also loved to write. One of his greatest accomplishments was writing and publishing a book titled "Death Shadows" in 2013.

Dennis enjoyed reading the Bible and studying the Quran along with quizzing family and friends about it. On Sunday's you could find Dennis watching his beloved Cleveland Browns win or lose. His eye for cars also kept him occupied, along with his green thumb for house plants

Dennis was loved by many, especially his fiancée, Tamika. Dennis leaves to mourn his loving memories his loving mother: Katherine Vinson-Powell; one son: Dennard Vinson (Kynesha); three step-sons: Frank, Derek, Jaden; two step-daughters: Nala, Amaya; one grandson: Dominick; eight step grandchildren; one sister: Letitia (Donald): one step-sister: Veronica (Brian), one god sister: Sharitah; two nieces: Ciji and Ronice (Dylan); one nephew: Pierese; three great nephews: Celio, Case and Dylan Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Even though Dennis's journey has come to a close, his generous heart and love for his family will be remembered by many who were touched by him.

"Remember Life knocks you down a thousand times but its always about how you get up, wipe ya self off look down & tell the devil that's not good enough! I'm still rising even in death... I'LL RISE.
