Paulene Marie Lenear was born January 28, 1954 in Camden, Arkansas to Alice Witcher and Robert J. Godbolt. She attended Camden public schools until relocating to Cleveland, Ohio.
Paulene gave birth to her only son, Derek A. Witcher. She graduated from East High School in 1972 and attended Cleveland State University.
Paulene accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age at the St. Paul Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas. After visiting several churches in the city, she united with Temple Baptist Church, under the leadership, of Dr. A. E. Campbell, Jr., in 1976. She was very active and supportive of her church.
She was the Church Financial Secretary, while serving on the Courtesy Guild, Deaconess, Marriage and Senior Ministries, until her health failed.
Paulene worked at University Hospital, Greyhound Bus Company, and Squires, Sanders, and Dempsey Law Firm, in Accounts Receivables. She left there to become a full-time caregiver to her mother and found so much joy in doing so, that she chose a second career path in caregiving. She last worked as an independent caregiver in Beachwood, Ohio before retiring.
On May 13, 1983, Paulene married the love of her life, Donald Lenear. To this union her only daughter, Donna M. (Lenear) West was born.
Paulene enjoyed cleaning, spending time with family, shopping, and traveling. Paulene had a unique ability to clean, as well as a unique sense of humor. She was affectionately called "Drill Sergeant" or "Pearl", due to her cleaning and love of laughter.
Paulene leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband Donald Lenear; two children: Derek A. Witcher (Monique) and Donna M. West (Kevin); two brothers and two sisters; Dwight Witcher (Joy) Ft.
