Christopher Jon Oatman

Christopher Jon Oatman was born on June 24, 1973, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Perry and Gloria Oatman. As the youngest of three sons, he grew up surrounded by love and a strong family foundation. He pursued higher education at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, earning a degree in Business Administration in 1998. 

Chris was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, joining in April 1996. After college, he spent time living in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Florida before returning to Cleveland in 2024. 

An avid and competitive bowler, Chris had a love for sports, especially football and basketball. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his children, his mother, and his loved ones. He was a devoted father and son, always cherishing the moments shared with family and friends. 

Chris leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Perry and Gloria Oatman; his children, Christopher Oatman and Krystalynn Oatman; his brothers, Perry Oatman Jr. and Thomas Oatman; and a host of family and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. 

Chris's warmth, love, and competitive spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew him best. He will be dearly missed. 

A celebration of life service will be held on March 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street, Cleveland, OH.
