Christopher Lee Lawson was born on November 29, 1972, in East Saint Louis, Illinois, at Christian Welfare Hospital. Christopher and his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio while he was at a young age. He was the 2nd child of 6 children from his late mother, Cathleen Anderson, and he was a protector of his siblings. Growing up, Christopher was known to most as Chris, but to others as "Big Head Chris," or "Lumps."
One of Chris's favorite sayings was, "You know today is my birthday," but more than likely, it wasn't. A few other facts about him were that he was always about family, loved to have family gatherings so he could eat, but nothing compared to how much he loved his kids. He leaves to cherish his memory 4 children: Richard Levert, Crystal Lawson, Chrishona Todd, and Kentia Lawson, 5 grandchildren, 5 siblings: Teresa, Lakisha "Tamiya" (Kenneth), Gerald (Laketa), Demetrius, and Shantyka, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Christopher was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns, so much so, that he'd pursued a position to work at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. He was also a huge fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers, no matter how bad their record was. He was striving for self-betterment by pursuing a higher education and multiple certificates of completion from Seeds of Literacy Education Center. He was also a member of the Smyrna Christian Missionary Church under Pastor Bruno and attended faithfully. He became a support system for individuals who were in treatment and/or those recently released from incarceration.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Cathleen Anderson, and they both will forever be missed.
