Ashley Acoff Obituary

Ashley Marie Acott, born June 13, 1991, was the beloved daughter of Tannie D. Acoff and the late Terry Cole.

Ashley accepted Christ at an early age and first became a member of St. Peter Baptist Church under the leadership of her uncle, the late Reverend Abraham Acoff and later joined Temple Baptist Church under the guidance of Reverend Sedric D. Yeal Sr. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her steps and giving her strength, which she generously shared with those around her.

Educated in the Cleveland Public School system, Ashley furthered her studies at Miami | Jacobs Career College, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting. She worked in many roles throughout her life, but her most meaningful achievement was beginning her career with the Ohio Department of Youth Services. There, she dedicated herself to making a positive difference in the lives of young people, offering compassion, guidance, and determination that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Ashley lived life to the fullest and celebrated each day with joy. She was quick to offer help and support, and her love for family and friends was evident in every moment she shared with them. Above all, her greatest joy was her son, Mychal Barnwell Ir. Ashley's love, wisdom, and lessons about life, honesty, family, and love will forever live on through him. Mychal carries her legacy, and the best parts of Ashley will continue to shine through his life.

Ashley also adored her many nieces and nephews, Jerry's kids (lol), and took special care to ensure they knew and loved one another. Many will remember the laughter and memories she shared with her mother by her side, riding together and enjoying life's Ashley leaves to cherish her memory, her only son, Mychal Barnwell Ir. her beloved mother, Fannie D. Acoff; her sister, Christine Dess; her brothers, Michael Acoff Aniwione Cobb, and Jerry Alston, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces. nephew, and dear friends. Her family will always remember her warmth, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely.

To know Ashley was to love her, and she will be deeply missed.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord.
