Mr. Alfonso Horne Jr. was born in Jackson, GA on June 24, 1928 to Willie and Alphonso Horne Sr. whom both proceeded him in death along with his sister Mildred Wallace.
Alfonso relocated to Cleveland at an early age. He attended Thomas Edison High School where he excelled in sports. Alfonso was united in holy matrimony to Shirley Austin in 1950. Into their union four children were born; Robert Lewis Horne, Michael Elliot Horne, and Phillip Allen Horne. All who proceeded him in death. Sharon Lee Horne is the surviving daughter.
Alfonso was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for many years and sang with the Golden Echos Gospel group. Alfonso worked at the Ford Motor Company from 1954 until he retired in 1993. While working at Ford, he excelled and formed many lasting friendships and loved playing cards with his co-workers.
